“Wanting to take a more introspective approach on a project I started to revisit a lot of spaces and places I would frequent as a teenager. While visiting these spaces I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by memories of a simpler time and wave of contrasting feelings of nostalgia, horror, friendship, anticipation, love, calmness, anger and the list goes on. Wanting to share these feelings I connected with my long-time friend, Alex Ross who was present for most of these memories. The two of us started to reminisce and began working on a few short musical responses that portray these contrasting feelings from our past. After endless session of experimenting, field recordings and late nights of filming, the simple idea of portraying a few feels mutated and transformed into its own life, “ don’t get your hopes up”.” – James Hornsby
